System and method for visualizing user activity

A system for generating a visualization of a user's utilization of a Web Site comprising:

• a means for analyzing log data, wherein the log data comprises information relating to a utilization of a Web Site by at least one user;
• and
• a means for converting a result, provided by the means for analyzing log data, into a Movie presenting a recreation of the utilization of the Web Site by the at least one user.

A system for generating a Movie presenting a recreation of user activity on an electronic system, comprising:

• a log analyzer which receives and analyzes log data, wherein the log data comprises information relating to a utilization of the electronic system;
• a video reporter, connected to the log analyzer, which receives a result of the analysis of the log data from the log analyzer and converts the result into a Movie presenting a recreation of the utilization of the electronic system, wherein the Movie is depicted in the same system interface of controls, data display screens, etc. so it appears that the viewer of the Movie is watching over the shoulder of the original user of the electronic system.

A system for generating a Movie presenting a recreation of user activity on an interactive TV system, comprising:

• a log analyzer which receives and analyzes log data, wherein the log data comprises tuning data and other information relating to a utilization of an interactive TV system;
• a video reporter, connected to the log analyzer, which receives a result of the the log analyzer and converts the result into a Movie presenting a recreation of the utilization of an interactive TV system wherein the Movie is depicted in the same system interface of on-screen controls, data and programming display screens, and all other material presented on the interactive TV display so it appears that the viewer of the Movie is watching over the shoulder of the original user of the interactive TV system.
