A circuit and a method for decoding data coded by blocks by a turbo-code including successive steps implementing different algorithms. At least two of the successive steps are capable of being applied in parallel to different data blocks.

A method for decoding data coded by blocks by a turbo-code including successive steps implementing different algorithms, wherein at least two of said successive steps are capable of being applied in parallel to different data blocks.
A circuit for decoding data coded by blocks by a turbo-code, including:
- a first means capable of calculating in parallel n syndromes, each syndrome corresponding to the syndrome of a line, respectively, a column, of a first portion of a first data block, and
- a second means capable of updating in parallel m lines, respectively columns, of a second portion of said first block or of a portion of a second data block.
