Systems for communicating current and future activity information among mobile internet users and methods therefor

A computer-implemented system for coordinating a future event between a user of a first mobile Internet device and other users communicating through the Internet, comprising:

• a server arrangement coupled to the Internet, said server arrangement includes first codes and second codes, said first codes being configured to implement a first application program using a web-based paradigm on said first mobile Internet device, said first application program being implemented with said first codes transmitted from said server arrangement to said first mobile Internet device, said first application program being configured to receive future activity information pertaining to said future event from said user, said future activity pertaining to an activity occurring at a future time relative to a time said future activity information is received;
• and
• a backend database coupled to said server arrangement, said backend database being configured to be in communication with said first application program via the Internet, said backend database being configured to receive said future activity information from said first application program, said backend database being remote from said first mobile Internet device,
• wherein said second codes is configured to implement a second application program using said web-based database on a second mobile Internet device, said second application program being implemented with said second codes transmitted from said server arrangement to said second mobile Internet device, said second application program being configured to render said future activity information to a recipient via said second mobile Internet device, said recipient representing a subset of said users coupled to said Internet and having access privilege to information pertaining to said future event involving said user.

A computer-implemented method implemented via the Internet for coordinating activity between a user of a mobile Internet device and other users communicating through said Internet, comprising:

• receiving activity information pertaining to said activity from said user via said mobile Internet device, said activity pertaining to an activity occurring for a time period overlapping the said activity information is received;
• transmitting said activity information to a backend database coupled to said Internet, said backend database being remote from said mobile Internet device;
• and
• rendering said activity information accessible to at least one recipient via said Internet on another mobile Internet device, said recipient representing a subset of said users coupled to said Internet and having access privilege to information pertaining to said event involving said user.

A computer-implemented system for coordinating an activity between a user of a first mobile Internet device and other users communicating through the Internet, comprising:

• a server arrangement coupled to the Internet, said server arrangement includes first codes and second codes, said first codes being configured to implement a first application program using a web-based paradigm on said first mobile Internet device, said first application program being implemented with said first codes transmitted from said server arrangement to said first mobile Internet device, said first application program being configured to receive activity information pertaining to said activity from said user, said activity pertaining to an activity occurring at a time period overlapping the time said activity information is received;
• and
• a backend database coupled to said server arrangement, said backend database being configured to be in communication with said first application program via the Internet, said backend database being configured to receive said activity information from said first application program, said backend database being remote from said first mobile Internet device,
• wherein said second codes is configured to implement a second application program using said web-based database on a second mobile Internet device, said second application program being implemented with said second codes transmitted from said server arrangement to said second mobile Internet device, said second application program being configured to render said activity information to a recipient via said second mobile Internet device, said recipient representing a subset of said users coupled to said Internet and having access privilege to information pertaining to said event involving said user.

A computer-implemented method implemented via the Internet for facilitating commercial offering to a user of a mobile Internet device, said commercial offering pertaining to a product or a service provided by a merchant, comprising:

• receiving a first set of data pertaining to an activity from said user via said mobile Internet device, said activity pertaining to an activity occurring during a time period which overlaps a time that said activity information is received, said first set of data including an activity type and location information;
• transmitting said first set of data to a backend database coupled to said Internet, said backend database being geographically remote from said mobile Internet device;
• comparing said first set of data with a second set of data in said backend database, said second set of data including activity and location information received from said merchant prior to said receiving said first set of data from said user;
• and
• if information in said first set of data satisfies conditions specified in said second set of data, rendering said commercial offering available to said user via said Internet device through said Internet.

A computer-implemented method implemented via the Internet for facilitating commercial offering to a user of a mobile Internet device, said commercial offering pertaining to a product or a service provided by a merchant, comprising:

• receiving a first set of data pertaining to an activity from said user via said mobile Internet device, said activity pertaining to an activity occurring during a time period which overlaps a time that said activity information is received, said first set of data including an activity type and location information;
• transmitting said first set of data to a backend database coupled to said Internet, said backend database being geographically remote from said mobile Internet device;
• comparing parameters in a second set of data with a third set of data in said backend database, said second set of data including said first set of data and data pertaining to an activity entered by another user different from said user, said third set of data including activity and location information received from said merchant prior to said receiving said first set of data from said user;
• and
• if information in said second set of data satisfies conditions specified in said third set of data, rendering said commercial offering available to said user via said Internet device through said Internet.

A computer-implemented method implemented via the Internet for facilitating commercial offering to a user of a mobile Internet device, said commercial offering pertaining to a product or a service provided by a merchant, comprising:

• receiving a first set of data pertaining to an activity from said user via said mobile Internet device, said activity pertaining to an activity occurring during a time period which overlaps a time that said activity information is received, said first set of data including an activity type and location information;
• transmitting said first set of data to a backend database coupled to said Internet, said backend database being geographically remote from said mobile Internet device;
• comparing parameters in a second set of data with a third set of data in said backend database, said second set of data including said first set of data and historical purchase history by said user, said third set of data including activity and location information received from said merchant prior to said receiving said first set of data from said user;
• and
• if information in said second set of data satisfies conditions specified in said third set of data, rendering said commercial offering available to said user via said Internet device through said Internet.

A computer program product, including computer readable media, said media comprising computer-readable instruction, said instructions enabling one or more computers to implement a method via the Internet for coordinating a future event between a user of a mobile Internet device and other users communicating through said Internet, said method comprising:

• receiving future activity information pertaining to said future event from said user via said mobile Internet device, said future activity pertaining to an activity occurring at a future time relative to a time said future activity information is received;
• transmitting said future activity information to a backend database coupled to said Internet, said backend database being remote from said mobile Internet device;
• and
• rendering said future activity information accessible to at least one recipient via said Internet, said recipient representing a subset of said users coupled to said Internet and having access privilege to information pertaining to said future event involving said user.

A computer program product, including computer readable media, said media comprising computer-readable instruction, said instructions enabling one or more computers to implement a method via the Internet for coordinating activity between a user of a mobile Internet device and other users communicating through said Internet, said method comprising:

• receiving activity information pertaining to said activity from said user via said mobile Internet device, said activity pertaining to an activity occurring for a time period overlapping the said activity information is received;
• transmitting said activity information to a backend database coupled to said Internet, said backend database being remote from said mobile Internet device;
• and
• rendering said activity information accessible to at least one recipient via said Internet on another mobile Internet device, said recipient representing a subset of said users coupled to said Internet and having access privilege to information pertaining to said event involving said user.

A computer program product, including computer readable media, said media comprising computer-readable instruction, said instructions enabling one or more computers to implement a method via the Internet for facilitating commercial offering to a user of a mobile Internet device, said commercial offering pertaining to a product or a service provided by a merchant, said method comprising:

• transmitting said first set of data to a backend database coupled to said Internet, said backend database being geographically remote from said mobile Internet device;
• comparing said first set of data with a second set of data in said backend database, said second set of data including activity and location information received from said merchant prior to said receiving said first set of data from said user;
• and
• if information in said first set of data satisfies conditions specified in said second set of data, rendering said commercial offering available to said user via said Internet device through said Internet.

A computer program product, including computer readable media, said media comprising computer-readable instruction, said instructions enabling one or more computers to implement a method via the Internet for facilitating commercial offering to a user of a mobile Internet device, said commercial offering pertaining to a product or a service provided by a merchant, said method comprising:

• receiving a first set of data pertaining to an activity from said user via said mobile Internet device, said activity pertaining to an activity occurring during a time period which overlaps a time that said activity information is received, said first set of data including an activity type and location information;
• transmitting said first set of data to a backend database coupled to said Internet, said backend database being geographically remote from said mobile Internet device;
• comparing parameters in a second set of data with a third set of data in said backend database, said second set of data including said first set of data and data pertaining to an activity entered by another user different from said user, said third set of data including activity and location information received from said merchant prior to said receiving said first set of data from said user;
• and
• if information in said second set of data satisfies conditions specified in said third set of data, rendering said commercial offering available to said user via said Internet device through said Internet.

A computer program product, including computer readable media, said media comprising computer-readable instruction, said instructions enabling one or more computers to implement a method via the Internet for facilitating commercial offering to a user of a mobile Internet device, said commercial offering pertaining to a product or a service provided by a merchant, comprising:

• receiving a first set of data pertaining to an activity from said user via said mobile Internet device, said activity pertaining to an activity occurring during a time period which overlaps a time that said activity information is received, said first set of data including an activity type and location information;
• transmitting said first set of data to a backend database coupled to said Internet, said backend database being geographically remote from said mobile Internet device;
• comparing parameters in a second set of data with a third set of data in said backend database, said second set of data including said first set of data and historical purchase history by said user, said third set of data including activity and location information received from said merchant prior to said receiving said first set of data from said user;
• and
• if information in said second set of data satisfies conditions specified in said third set of data, rendering said commercial offering available to said user via said Internet device through said Internet.
