A document system that decreases the likelihood of receiving a virus.

A method of transmitting an e-mail message with an associated attachment comprising:
- (a) transmitting said e-mail message together with said associated attachment in a first format addressed to a destination through a network;
- (b) receiving said e-mail and said associated attachment and converting said attachment from said first format to a second format using, at least in part, a printing function;
- and
- (c) said destination receiving said e-mail and said converted associated attachment.

A method of transmitting e-mail messages with an associated attachment comprising:
- (a) transmitting a first e-mail message together with an associated first attachment in a first format addressed to a destination through a network;
- (b) receiving said first e-mail message and said associated first attachment and converting said first attachment from said first format to a second format using;
- (c) transmitting a second e-mail message together with an associated second attachment in a third format, where said third format is different than said first format, addressed to a destination through a network;
