Abstract
The present invention relates to a method of forming a tissue implant that includes applying force to the tissue to form the implant which has a predetermined shape. The applied force against the tissue is monitored or controlled during the shaping of the tissue.

A method of forming an implant comprising the steps of:
- obtaining body tissue from a donor;
- shaping the tissue by applying force to the tissue to form an implant having a predetermined configuration;
- and
- monitoring the force applied to the tissue during at least part of the shaping step.
