Abstract
Dark-colored thermoplastic molding compositions are disclosed. The compositions are suitable for molded parts which in the wavelength region from 700 to 1200 nm are laser-transmitting, at least in spectral partial regions, and may be welded to laser-absorbing molded parts by means of laser transmissions welding.
Claims8
Thermoplastic moulding compositions which are coloured with combinations of at least two colorants, such that a dark colour perception (standard colour value Y<30) of the moulding composition results and that in the visible light region (400 nm to 700 nm) at a layer thickness which may be at least within the range 0.4 to 5 mm low or nil transmission (≦10%) occurs, and in the wavelength region from 700 nm to 1200 nm, at least in spectral partial regions, transmission of >10% occurs upon irradiation with LASER light.
Thermoplastic moulding composition according to one or more of the preceding claims, wherein the colorant combination is selected from among the dyes of the pyrazolone, perinone and anthraquinone, methine, azo and coumarin type and/or metal-containing pigments such as inorganic pigments and metal complexes of azo, azornethine or methine dyes, azomethine, quinacridone, dioxazine, isoindoline, isoindolinone, perylene, phthalocyanine, pyrrolopyrrole and thioindigo type and bismuth vanadate.
Moulded parts produced from thermoplastic moulding compositions according to one or more of the preceding claims.
Use of moulding compositions in accordance with one or more of the preceding claims for the production of moulded parts which are bonded to other moulded parts by laser transmission welding.
Bonded moulded parts which arc joined by laser transmission welding and at least one part of which consists of a thermoplastic moulding composition according to one or more of the preceding claims.
