Abstract
Materials and methods for treating certain cancers are described, preferably cancers that result from the up-regulation of the RAF-MEK-ERK pathway, and more preferably chronic myelogenous leukemia, and which cancer is preferably resistant to the inhibition of the Bcr-Abl tyrosine kinase, imatinib.
Claims11
A method for treating a patient suffering from cancer, wherein said patients' cancer exhibits up-regulation of the RAF-MEK-ERK pathway, comprising administering to said cancer patient an effective dose of an inhibitor of said RAF-MEK-ERK pathway.
A pharmaceutical composition, comprising at least one inhibitor of the RAF-MEK-ERK pathway, and an inhibitor of Bcr-Abl tyrosine kinase.
