Stable compositions containing gabapentin compositions, methods of preparing such compositions, and methods of using such compositions.
Claims73
A composition comprising gabapentin and at most 5 ppm, based on the amount of the gabapentin, of an addition salt of gabapentin and an acid.
A pharmaceutical composition in dry unit dosage form, comprising:
- (a) gabapentin;
- (b) at most 5 ppm, based on the amount of the gabapentin, of an addition salt of gabapentin and an acid;
- and
- (c) at least one nonacidic pharmaceutically acceptable excipient.
A composition, comprising gabapentin and at least one salt of a nonacidic cation and an anion of a mineral acid, wherein the composition comprises more than 20 ppm of the anion of a mineral acid, based on the amount of the gabapentin.
A pharmaceutical composition in dry unit dosage form, comprising:
- (a) gabapentin;
- (b) at least one salt of a nonacidic cation and an anion of a mineral acid, and
- (c) at least one nonacidic excipient
- wherein the composition contains at least 20 ppm of the anion of a mineral acid, based on the amount of the gabapentin.
