Abstract
Schizophrenia and bipolar disorders with mania may be treated by imidazenil or other benzodiazepine-3-carboxamide derviatives.

A method of treatment of patients suffering from schizophrenia or bipolar disorder with mania which comprises administering to them a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of the formula:
