A method for increasing the muscarinic receptor number or enhancing the function of muscarinic receptors in a human or non-human animal, comprising the administration of an effective amount of smilagenin, or anzurogenin-D or a combination thereof.
A pharmaceutical composition which comprises a pharmacologically effective amount of anzurogenin D.
A method of enhancing cognitive function in a human or non-human animal, which comprises administering an effective dose of smilagenin and/or anzurogenin D.
The use of smilagenin and/or anzurogenin-D in a food product or beverage to enhance cognitive function.
A method of enhancing cognitive function in a human or non-human animal, which comprises administering to the human or non-human animal an effective dose of a compound selected from the group consisting of smilagenin and anzurogenin-D.
