Abstract
Disclosed are a composition and method to treat or prevent antibody-induced anemia and particularly, autoimmune hemolytic anemia. The composition comprises a bisphosphonate and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. In a preferred embodiment, the composition comprises clodronate and a liposome carrier.

A method to treat or prevent antibody-induced anemia, comprising administering to a patient that has or is at risk of developing antibody-induced anemia a composition comprising bisphosphonate and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
A composition for the treatment of antibody-induced anemia, comprising a bisphosphonate and a corticosteroid.
