Cylinder crankcase for an internal combustion engine

Abstract

It is proposed, for a cylinder crankcase for an internal combustion engine, the base body 1 of such engine consisting of a material A and the cylinder walls 2 of the engine of a second material B, that a lattice-like reinforcement 3 be provided between the two materials A, B. It is also proposed for a process for production of this cylinder crankcase that the lattice-like reinforcement 3 be introduced into a casting mold for the cylinder crankcase, and that the two materials A, B then be introduced into the casting mold. It is claimed for the proposed solution that a cylinder crankcase and a process are made available for production of this cylinder crankcase, which may be produced in an especially simple and cost-effective manner.
