A pet excreta treating unit comprising a tray, a drainboard disposed in the tray, and a low water absorbing excreta treating material disposed on the drainboard. There is a space under the drainboard in which a liquid containing a germicide or a deodorizer or a water-disintegrable sheet impregnated with the liquid is adapted to be put.
