Abstract
Cryostat having a connecting branch which is connected to a cooling chamber and is open on the end side, raised parts and/or depressions increasing the wall surface being provided on at least part of the inner wall of the connecting branch.

A cryostat, comprising:
- a cooling chamber;
- and
- a connecting branch connected to a cooling chamber and having an open end, the connection branch having an inner wall provided with at least one of raised parts and depressions, which increase surface area of the inner wall.
