Abstract
A multiplexing apparatus/method is characterized by inputting a plurality of data streams with which identification information of data is multiplexed, extracting the identification information multiplexed with the plurality of input data streams from the plurality of input data streams, detecting pieces of identification information, of the extracted identification information extracted, which are redundant among the respective data streams, replacing the detected identification information with new identification information, and multiplexing the plurality of data streams obtained by replacement.
Claims8
A multiplexing apparatus comprising:
- a) input means for inputting a plurality of data streams with which identification information of data is multiplexed;
- b) extraction means for extracting the identification information multiplexed with the plurality of input data streams from the plurality of data streams input by said input means;
- c) detection means for detecting pieces of identification information, of the identification information extracted by said extraction means, which are redundant among the respective data streams;
- d) replacing means for replacing the identification information detected by said detection means with new identification information;
- and
- e) data multiplexing means for multiplexing the plurality of data streams processed by said replacing means.
A multiplexing method comprising the steps of:
- inputting a plurality of data streams with which identification information of data is multiplexed;
- extracting the identification information multiplexed with the plurality of input data streams from the plurality of data streams input in said input step;
- detecting pieces of identification information, of the identification information extracted in said extracting step, which are redundant among the respective data streams;
- replacing the detected identification information with new identification information;
- and
- multiplexing the plurality of data streams obtained by replacement.
A storage medium storing a program for executing a multiplexing process including:
- a) an input step of inputting a plurality of data streams with which identification information of data is multiplexed;
- b) an extraction step of extracting the identification information multiplexed with the plurality of input data streams from the plurality of data streams input in said input step;
- c) a detection step of detecting pieces of identification information, of the identification information extracted in said extraction step, which are redundant among the respective data streams;
- d) the replacing step of replacing the detected identification information with new identification information;
- and
- e) the multiplexing step of multiplexing the plurality of data streams obtained by replacement.
