Abstract
A method and apparatus for adding inductance is disclosed. Inductance may be added to a transmission line coupled to a printed circuit board to increase the inductance associated with a transmission line by utilizing ferromagnetic materials.
Claims31
A method comprising:
- fabricating a printed-circuit board substrate;
- and
- fabricating a transmission line, utilizing deposited ferromagnetic material, coupled to the printed-circuit board substrate.
An apparatus comprising:
- a printed-circuit board substrate having a signal trace;
- and
- a transmission line constructed, in part, of deposited ferromagnetic material coupled to the signal trace.
A system comprising:
- A printed-circuit board substrate;
- a transmission line constructed, in part, of deposited ferromagnetic material and coupled to the printed-circuit board substrate;
- and
- an electrical device coupled to the printed-circuit board substrate and coupled to the transmission line.
