Abstract
In a process for forming an alignment film on a substrate that is used for a liquid crystal display, a coating destined to be the alignment film is formed on one surface of the substrate, and a gas flow is formed by a nozzle on a surface side on which the coating is formed. By thus implementing, an uniform alignment film can be formed on the substrate for use in the liquid crystal display.
Claims10
A method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display including a first substrate and a second substrate that faces the first substrate, comprising:
- a first process for coating a solution for use in the formation of an alignment film on a first surface that faces the second substrate of the first substrate;
- and
- a second process for generating a flow of gas on the first surface side of the first substrate on which the solution is coated.
Drying apparatus for drying a solution that is coated on a first surface of a substrate and used in the formation of an alignment film, comprising:
- gas flow generating means for generating a gas flow on the first surface side of the substrate on which the solution is coated.
