A cable-stripping tool comprising two parts (1, 3; 7) which can rotate relative to one another about an axis and of which a first part (1, 3) carries a cutting blade (17) in the vicinity of said axis and a second part (7) of which carries a hook which can move axially and which is biased towards an end position relative to the cutting blade by means of a first spring means (50). A cam disc (5) is non-rotatably connected to the first part (1, 3) and can be moved axially along said first part; wherein the cam disc has around its periphery mutually spaced engagement formations (70′, 70″) which are intended to co-act with a cam follower (60) carried by the second part (7). A second spring means (4) is adapted to bias the cam disc axially into contact with the cam follower (6). A third spring means (5 1) is adapted to rotationally bias the second part (7) relative to the first part (1, 3).
