Claims10
A foldable hand tool comprising a pair of jaws pivoted to each other on a pivot pin, each jaw having a head and a shank, a spring mounted between the shanks of the jaws, a hollow handle pivotally mounted at one end to each of said shanks and foldable relative to said jaws, said hollow handle having a plurality of auxiliary tools pivotally mounted therewithin, said auxiliary tools being pivotly mounted on a pivot pin at the other end of said hollow handle, said hollow handle comprising side walls, a bottom wall and an open top, the interior of said hollow handle forming a space to receive at least a portion of said jaws when the hollow handles are folded relative to the jaws, said bottom wall of each handle having a lock spring formed by slits between the bottom wall and the side walls, said lock spring having an outer lock edge, at least some of said auxiliary tools having a cam surface and a lock notch at the outer end thereof, the radius of at least a portion of the cam surface to the pivot pin being than the distance between the lock spring and the pivot pin whereby rotation of said auxiliary tool around said pivot pin will cause the said cam surface portion to strike the lock spring and move the lock spring away from the plane of the bottom wall and continued rotation of said auxiliary tool will move the lock edge of the lock spring into the lock notch of the auxiliary tool and whereby rotation of another auxiliary tool around said pivot pin will cause its cam surface portion to strike the lock spring and move it away from the plane of the bottom wall to move the lock edge away from the lock notch in the first auxiliary tool to permit the first auxiliary tool to be released for rotation around said pivot.
