Abstract
This invention relates to growth hormone releasing factor (GRF) derivatives. In particular, this invention relates to GRF peptide derivatives having an extended in vivo half-life, for promoting the endogenous production or release of growth hormone in humans and animals.
Claims19
A growth hormone releasing factor derivative comprising:
- a peptide having growth hormone production or releasing activity, and
- a reactive entity coupled to the peptide,
- the derivative being capable of covalently bonding in vivo or in vitro with a functionality on a blood component.
A method for extending the in vivo half-life of a peptide having growth hormone releasing activity, the method comprising covalently bonding the peptide to a blood component.
