Abstract
The posterior segment 20 of the orthodontic archwire of the present invention has the connector 30 provided in advance on the free end 23 of a loop 22 formed by bending one end of the segment. The archwire 1 where the main wire portion 10 of the anterior segment 10 is connected to the main wire portion 21 of the posterior segment 20 on the same axial center can be obtained by inserting and securing the connection end 12 formed by bending each opposite end of the said anterior segment 10 into the said connector 30.
Claims14
] An orthodontic archwire comprising a connector provided on one end of a wire, by which said wire is jointed to another wire.
] An orthodontic archwire comprising a connector provided on one end of a wire, by which said wire is jointed to another wire, having the axial center of said connector aligned with the axial center of said wire.
] An orthodontic archwire comprising a connector provided on one end of a wire, by which said wire is jointed to another wire, having the axial center of said connector crossing at right angles with the axial center of said wire.
] The orthodontic archwire in accordance with claim 1 wherein said connector which joints said wire to another wire is provided on the free end of a curvature formed on one end of said wire.
] The orthodontic archwire in accordance with claim 2 wherein said connector which joints said wire to another wire is provided on the free end of a curvature formed on one end of said wire.
] The orthodontic archwire in accordance with claim 3 wherein said connectors which joints said wire to another wire is provided on the free end of a curvature formed on one end of said wire.
] The orthodontic archwire in accordance with claim 1 wherein said connector which joints said wire to another wire is provided on the free end of a loop-shaped curvature formed on one end of said wire.
] The orthodontic archwire in accordance with claim 2 wherein said connector which joints said wire to another wire is provided on the free end of a loop-shaped curvature formed on one end of said wire.
] The orthodontic archwire in accordance with claim 3 wherein said connector which joints said wire to another wire is provided on the free end of a loop-shaped curvature formed on one end of said wire.
] An orthodontic archwire comprising a generally U-shaped main wire portion and connection ends formed by bending the opposite ends of said main wire portion and provided for fitting into the connectors of other orthodontic archwires.
] An orthodontic archwire comprising multiple wire elements and having wire segments connected on the same axial center.
] The orthodontic archwire in accordance with claim 11 wherein said adjacent wire segments have connection ends formed by bending the respective mating ends of said adjacent wire segments and located in parallel to each other, having each wire segment jointed at these connection ends.
] The orthodontic archwire in accordance with claim 11 wherein either of said adjacent wire segments has a connection end formed by bending the mating end of said wire segment and the mating end of the other wire segment located in parallel to each other, having each wire segment jointed at these connection ends.
] A wire cutting tool comprising left and right cutting dies both of which rotate on the same fulcrum to cut orthodontic wire elements, having the bottom surface of the cutting edge formed on said left cutting die and the bottom surface of the cutting edge receiver formed on said right cutting die shaped into the same configuration and having said cutting edge and said cutting edge receiver formed to have a substantially same height as the connection end of said wire element.
