Abstract
A network consisting essentially of poly(propylene fumarate) cross linked with diacrylate and a method for making same.
Claims19
A polymeric network consisting essentially of cross linked poly(propylene fumarate).
A poly(propylene fumarate) cross linked with diacrylate.
A cross linkable composition comprising poly(propylene fumarate)-diacrylate.
A polymeric network comprising poly(propylene fumarate) cross linked with poly(propylene fumarate)-diacrylate.
A composition suitable for use as a biocompatible implant, comprising:
- a poly(propylene fumarate) network crosslinked with diacrylate macromers.
A poly(propylene fumarate) network crosslinked with diacrylate and suitable for use as a biocompatible implant, having the formula:
- 1
A method of making a poly(propylene fumarate) network, comprising:
- (a) forming a propylene fumarate;
- (b) transesterifying the PF to give poly(propylene fumarate);
- (c) synthesizing poly(propylene fumarate)-diacrylate by reacting the poly(propylene fumarate) with an acrylation reagent;
- and
- (d) cross-linking the poly(propylene fumarate)-diacrylate.
