A method of modulating differentiation of a cultured hematopoietic progenitor cell, said method comprising the step of altering in said cell the endogenous activity of an insulin-like growth factor.
A method of inhibiting differentiation of a cultured primary stem cell, said method comprising the step of contacting said cell with an insulin-like growth factor binding protein.
A method of inhibiting differentiation of a cultured hematopoietic progenitor cell, said method comprising the step of contacting said cell with an insulin-like growth factor binding protein.
A method of inhibiting net differentiation of primary stem cells in culture, said method comprising reducing the number of insulin-like growth factor-1-producing cells in said culture by reducing the endogenous activity of an insulin-like growth factor, by selectively reducing cells that produce an insulin-like growth factor from the culture.

A method of modulating differentiation of primary stem cells in culture, said method comprising the step of altering the endogenous activity of an insulin-like growth factor by introducing into said cell an antisense nucleic acid molecule that decreases the production of insulin-like growth factor into the culture.
A method of modulating differentiation of hematopoietic progenitor cells in culture, said method comprising the step of altering the endogenous activity of an insulin-like growth factor by introducing into said cell an antisense nucleic acid molecule that decreases the production of insulin-like growth factor into the culture.
A method of modulating differentiation of primary stem cells in culture, said method comprising the step of altering the level of an insulin-like growth factor in combination with an insulin-like growth factor binding protein.
A method of modulating differentiation of hematopoietic progenitor cells in culture, said method comprising the step of altering the level of an insulin-like growth factor in combination with an insulin-like growth factor binding protein.
A method of modulating differentiation of a cultured hematopoietic stem cell, said method comprising the step of altering the endogenous activity of an insulin-like growth factor by treating said cultured cell with insulin-like growth factor binding protein-3.
A method of modulating differentiation of a cultured primary stem cells in culture, said method comprising the step of altering the endogenous activity of an insulin-like growth factor by treating said cultured cell with insulin-like growth factor binding protein-3.
A method of modulating differentiation of a cultured hematopoietic progenitor cell in culture, said method comprising the step of altering the endogenous activity of an insulin-like growth factor by treating said cultured cell with insulin-like growth factor binding protein-3.
