Abstract
In the production of cement clinker or cement with the addition of a cement additive (40), such as for example slag, which is ground in a closed-circuit grinding installation into slag meal (32) of equal fineness to cement, in order to utilize excess slag capacity in a beneficial way in the cement clinker production process, an intermediate slag fraction (33, 34) withdrawn from a three-fraction classifying device (31) is added as a raw material component to the stock inlet of the rotary kiln (20) of the cement clinker production line, and at the same time the chemical composition of the remaining raw material components (10) is adapted to the added quantity (34) of the intermediate slag fraction.
Claims12
A method for the production of a cement clinker (22) from raw meal (10) in an installation in which said raw meal (10) is preheated in at least one heat exchanger train (11) through which off-gass of a rotary kiln (20) flows, or in which said raw meal is precalcined in a precalcination stage (16), and is burned to a cement clinker in the sintering zone of said rotary kiln (20), then cooled and ground to form portland cement, comprising the steps of:
- adding to said preheated meal an unpreheated additive in the form of an intermediate fraction (33, 34) of ground slag discharged from a closed-circuit grinding installation and
- adapting the chemical composition of said raw meal (10) to the quantity (34) of said intermediate fraction (33) of said additive.
A method for the production of a cement clinker (22) from raw meal (10) preheated in at least one heat exchanger train (11) through which off-gass of a rotary kiln (20) flows, or in which said raw meal is precalcined in a precalcination stage (16), and is burned to a cement clinker in the sintering zone of said rotary kiln (20), then cooled and ground to form portland cement, comprising the steps of:
- adding to said preheated meal an unpreheated additive in the form of an intermediate fraction (33, 34) of ground latently hydraulic substances discharged from a closed-circuit grinding installation and
- adapting the chemical composition of said raw meal (10) to the quantity (34) of said intermediate fraction (33) of said additive.
A cement producing plant comprising:
- an installation for production of cement clinker from raw meal having
- a meal preheated (11),
- a rotary sintering kiln (20) having a stock inlet and
- a clinker cooler (21), and
- a closed circuit grinding installation for grinding slag to form an additive (40), including
- a high-pressure roll press (30) with autogenous size reduction of said slag material,
- a three-fraction classifying device (31) classifying said slag material into a fines fraction (32), an intermediate fraction (33) and an oversize fraction (34), said oversize fraction (34) being recirculated to said roll press, and
- a connection (34) between the discharge of said intermediate slag fraction (33) from said classifying device (31) and said stock inlet of said rotary kiln (20).
