Abstract
An electrical connector for the connection of electrical devices for data transfer comprises a plurality of conductive elements, each having a central spring area with elongated looped ends as the contact points. The conductive elements are housed in a non-conductive body.
Claims10
A compression-type connector comprising:
- a non-conductive body having one or more cavities defined therein, said cavities having openings at either end thereof;
- and
- a corresponding number of electrically conductive elements disposed in said cavities, said conductive elements comprising a spring portion, said spring portion being completely received within said cavity and having end portions attached to either end of said spring;
- said end portions extending through said openings at either end of each of said one or more cavities.
