Abstract
Ships, outdoor communication equipment (for prevention of ice and snow accretion), devices for body fluid contact or for insertion into living body tissue, etc., are coated by using a coating composition comprising at least, particulates comprising a fluorine-containing polymer and a non-fluorine-containing polymer. There is formed a coating which is excellent in its lubricating property (friction-reducing property) and in its adhesion to the device or in its coating strength.
Claims20
A coating composition, comprising at least, particulates comprising a fluorine-containing polymer;
- and a non-fluorine-containing polymer.
A coating method, comprising:
- attaching a coating composition comprising at least particulates comprising a fluorine-containing polymer, and a non-fluorine-containing polymer, to the surface of a material to be coated by powder coating;
- and
- heating the non-fluorine-containing polymer to a temperature higher than the softening point thereof, thereby to form a coating layer comprising the coating composition on the surface of the material to be coated.
A coating method, comprising:
- dispersing a coating composition comprising at least particulates comprising a fluorine-containing polymer, and a non-fluorine-containing polymer, in a solvent capable of dissolving the non-fluorine-containing polymer thereby to prepare a coating liquid;
- and
- applying the coating liquid onto the surface of a material to be coated, thereby to form a coating layer comprising the coating composition on the surface of the material to be coated.
A coated product, comprising a material to be coated and a coating layer covering at least a portion of the material to be coated to be in contact with body fluid;
- wherein the coating layer comprises at least particulates comprising a fluorine-containing polymer;
- and a non-fluorine-containing polymer.
A process for producing composite powder, comprising:
- dissolving a non-fluorine-containing polymer in a “good solvent” for the non-fluorine-containing polymer;
- dispersing particulates comprising a fluorine-containing polymer in the resultant solution of the non-fluorine-containing polymer;
- and
- decreasing the solubility of the non-fluorine-containing polymer in the good solvent so as to precipitate the non-fluorine-containing polymer on the particles comprising the fluorine-containing polymer.
