Abstract
A finish trim for use in dry wall construction having an elongated core that is configured with a flange having outwardly facing surfaces to which is affixed a pre-shrunk covering strip.
Claims26
A drywall trim device including:
- a hard core constructed with flanges for overlapping the marginal edges of drywall panels abutted together and having an exterior surface;
- a pre-shrunk cover strip of fiber material of a predetermined area and pre-shrunk to a shrunken area less than said predetermined area;
- and
- a bond bonding said pre-shrunk strip to said exterior surface.
1 more element
A drywall trim device including:
- a hard core constructed with at least one flange having an exterior surface and an interior surface for overlapping at least one marginal edge of a drywall panel;
- a pre-shrunk cover, said cover including means shrinking it from a normally expanded condition to a pre-shrunk condition;
- and
- bonding means for bonding said cover strip in said pre-shrunk condition.
1 more element
A method for making a drywall bead including:
- selecting a metal core having an exterior surface and an interior surface for overlapping the marginal edges of drywall panels abutted together along their edges;
- dehydrating sheets of stock paper to shrink such stock paper to a pre-shrunk condition;
- while maintaining such stock paper in said pre-shrunk condition, bonding it to the exterior surface of such core;
- forming such core with such paper bonded thereto into a desired shape for installation to form a bead;
- and
- cutting such bead to a desired dimension.
3 more elements
A method of making a drywall trim device including:
- selecting a hard core having at least one flange for overlapping the marginal edges of at least one drywall panel and having an exterior surface;
- shrinking a strip of stock paper;
- and
- while maintaining such stock paper in its shrunken condition, bonding it to the exterior surface of such flanges.
1 more element
A drywall trim device comprising:
- a hard core having an outer surface;
- pre-shrunk stock to a pre-shrunk condition;
- and
- a bond bonding said strip to said outer surface in said pre-shrunk condition.
1 more element
A drywall bead device for dry wall construction prepared by a process, including the following steps:
- selecting a hard core having an outer surface;
- selecting a stock paper to be used as a covering strip;
- dehydrating said strip to a pre-shrunk state;
- and
- bonding said pre-shrunk strip to said outer surface.
2 more elements
A drywall bead device for dry wall construction prepared by a process, including the following steps:
- selecting a hard core having an outer surface;
- selecting a paper to be used as a covering strip;
- dehydrating and heating such strip to shrink it to a pre-shrunk condition;
- and
- bonding such strip in said pre-shrunk condition to the exterior surfaces of such core.
