Abstract
A four-jointed wiper arm assembly (14) is described having a drive lever (20), which is connected to a driveshaft (90) so that they rotate together and is coupled via a coupling element (16) to a link rod (22) which is pivotably mounted in a bearing (92) on a vehicle body. The drive lever (20) encloses an angle (α) of approximately 90° with the coupling element (16) in a parking position (46) of the windshield wiper (70) and is adjustable about an adjustment axis (24) which runs approximately parallel to the coupling element (16) and intersects the longitudinal axis of the driveshaft (90), and the coupling element (16) is connected to the link rod (22) via a ball joint (32).
Claims21
A four-jointed wiper arm assembly (14) having a drive lever (20), which is connected to a driveshaft (90) so that they rotate together and is coupled via a coupling element (16) to a link rod (22) which is pivotably mounted in a bearing (92) on a vehicle body, wherein the drive lever (20) encloses an angle (α) of approximately 90° with the coupling element (16) in a parking position (46) of the windshield wiper (70) and is adjustable about an adjustment axis (24) which runs approximately parallel to the coupling element (16) and intersects the longitudinal axis of the driveshaft (90);
- and the coupling element (16) is connected to the link rod (22) via a ball joint (32).
The four-jointed wiper arm assembly (14) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein a fixing part (18), on which a joint part (36) of the windshield wiper (70) is coupled, is molded onto the end of the coupling element (16) on the link rod end.
The four-jointed wiper arm assembly (14) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the driveshaft (90) is inserted through an expanding depression (128) of the drive lever (20) and a nut (112) clamps the drive lever (20) against an offset (126) of the driveshaft (90) via a clamping part (108), which is adapted to the depression (128);
- and the contact surfaces (118, 128) between the clamping part (108) and the drive lever (20) form a part of the surface of a sphere;
- and the drive lever (20) supports itself on the offset (126) via cylindrical surfaces (114, 116), with the axis of the cylindrical surfaces (114, 116) being the adjustment axis (24) and running through the sphere center (124).
The four-jointed wiper arm assembly (14) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the adjustment angle (δ1, δ2) about the adjustment axis (24) is delimited by a stop (130).
The four-jointed wiper arm assembly (14) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the adjustment axis (24) runs within the attachment region of the drive lever (20).
The four-jointed wiper arm assembly (14) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the drive lever (20) is molded from sheet metal and the depression (128) is deep drawn.
The four-jointed wiper arm assembly (14) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the clamping part (108) is connected to the driveshaft (90) via a driver profile (110) which has a noncircular cross-section.
The four-jointed wiper arm assembly (14) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the cylindrical surfaces (114, 116) have ribbing (132) running parallel to the adjustment axis (24).
The four-jointed wiper arm assembly (14) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the drive lever (20) and the clamping part (108) are roughened or ribbed on the spherical surface (118) in such a way that the ribbing (132) of the drive lever (20) intersects with the ribbing (132) of the clamping part (108).
The four-jointed wiper arm assembly (14) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the clamping part (108) has grooves (48) running longitudinally on its circumference.
A method for setting a four-jointed wiper arm assembly (14) according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the perpendicular error (φ) is only adjusted in the parking position (46).
