Abstract
According to the present invention a method for interrupting a speed control or vehicle to vehicle ranging of a motor vehicle's control system is proposed, in which the system passes over into the standby mode with the aid of a predefined algorithm after the switching-off of the active control. A linear function for the acceleration in the case of propulsion as well as the braking case is provided as the algorithm. In an alternative embodiment of the present invention using a step function having appropriately designed steps is provided. This achieves in an advantageous manner a soft transition from active control operation to the standby mode.
Claims10
A method for interrupting a speed control or vehicle to vehicle ranging in a control system (10) of a motor vehicle, the driver interrupting the presently active control mode by activating a switch (5), wherein the control system (10) sets a setpoint acceleration value (bSoll) according to a predefined algorithm, by which a soft transition from control operation to standby mode is achieved.
The method as recited in one of the preceding claims, wherein the algorithm has a ramp function.
The method as recited in one of the preceding claims, wherein the control system (10) acts on a braking unit (6) which controls a braking pressure in a braking system.
The method as recited in one of the preceding claims, wherein the ranging system (10) switches off the control in the propulsion case in response to a minimum acceleration (bmin) being undershot.
The method as recited in one of the preceding claims, wherein the control system (10) blocks a shifting of a transmission up to switch-off time t1.
The method as recited in one of the preceding claims, wherein the control system (10) includes a software program which makes possible a soft switching-off of the control.
Dependencies are inferred from the claim text.
