An antimicrobial composition containing between about 0.0005 and about 1 weight percent of an antimicrobial agent; between about 0.05 and about 5 weight percent of a keratolytic agent; between about 0.001 and about 10 weight percent of a surfactant; and at least about 60 weight percent water.

An antimicrobial composition comprising:
- a. between about 0.0005 and about 1 weight percent of an antimicrobial agent;
- b. between about 0.05 and about 5 weight percent of a keratolytic agent;
- c. between about 0.001 and about 10 weight percent of a surfactant;
- and
- d. at least about 60 weight percent water.

- a. between about 0.005 and about 0.5 weight percent of at least one quaternary ammonium compound comprising benzalkonium chloride;
- b. between about 0.05 and about 5 weight percent allantoin;
