Abstract
A method and apparatus for holding and applying beauty and skin care products to the face in the form of a cosmetic brush dispensing assembly with an integral product dispensing mechanism. The assembly includes a barrel for holding a cosmetic compound and a dispensing mechanism for forcing the compound up to a cometic applicator brush for application to a user's face. In one embodiment, the dispensing mechanism is formed of a ratchet displacement device which is activated by pushing a button. In another embodiment, the dispensing mechanism is formed of a screw displacement device which is activated by turning a wheel.
Claims1
An cosmetic dispenser for holding and dispensing a cosmetic product, said dispenser comprising:
- a generally elongated container for holding a supply of said cosmetic product;
- an applicator brush attached to one end of said container;
- a protective shield slidably positioned within said container between a first position for covering said applicator brush when said dispenser is a non-dispensing mode and a second position exposing said applicator brush when said dispenser is In a dispensing mode;
- and
- an integrally formed dispensing mechanism within said container for forcing said cosmetic produce from said container to said brush.
