Abstract
A method for producing an aerosol generator utilizes a vibratable member having a plurality of apertures for producing liquid droplets upon vibration of the vibratable member. A support member is injection molded about the vibratable member, and a vibratable element is placed in vibrational communication with the vibratable member.

A method for producing an aerosol generator, the method comprising:
- providing a vibratable member having a plurality of apertures that are configured to produce liquid droplets upon vibration of the vibratable member;
- injection molding a support member about the vibratable member;
- and
- placing a vibratable element in vibrational communication with the vibratable member.

An aerosol generator, comprising:
- a vibratable member having a front surface, a rear surface, an outer periphery and a plurality of apertures that are configured to produce liquid droplets upon vibration of the vibratable member;
- a support member injection molded about the outer periphery of the vibratable member such that a center section of the vibratable member having the apertures is available to receive a liquid to be aerosolized;
- and
- a vibratable element in vibrational communication with the vibratable member.

A nebulizing device, comprising:
- aerosol generator comprising a vibratable member having a front surface, a rear surface, an outer periphery and a plurality of apertures that are configured to produce liquid droplets upon vibration of the vibratable member;
- a support member injection molded about the outer periphery of the vibratable member such that a center section of the vibratable member having the apertures is available to receive a liquid to be aerosolized;
- and a vibratable element in vibrational communication with the vibratable member;
- a housing defining in interior;
- and
- wherein the aerosol generator is disposed in the housing.
