Abstract
This invention relates to the utilization of a warp knitting machine for the manufacturing of open or closed tubes for protecting cables, conduits and the like, mainly for the protection of automobile cables. The protecting tube is characterised in that the yarns (1, 2, 3) that form the tube are weaved with each other by tricot, tuch, samt, satin, atlas, köper, laying in and/or chain type stitches. This permits the manufacture of tubes of larger diameter and with lower wall thickness, which also have greater abrasion resistance.

Utilisation of a warp knitting machine for the manufacturing of open or closed tubes for protecting cables, conduits and the like.
Opened or closed protecting tube for cables, conduits and the like, manufactured with a warp knitting machine, said protecting tube comprising at least one type of yarn, characterised in that the yarns are weaved with each other by stitches of the tricot, tuch, samt, satin, atlas, köper, laying in and/or chain type.
