This invention relates to the use of a PDE4 inhibitor or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof for manufacturing a medicament for preventing or treating a disease associated with an excess in IL-12 production.

A method for preventing and/or treating a disease associated with an excess in IL-12 production comprising the administration of an effective amount of a PDE4 inhibitor or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt to a patient in need.
A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and/or treating a disease associated with an excess in IL-12 production comprising an effective amount of at least one phosphodiesterase E4 (PDE4) inhibitor or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof in combination with at least one pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
