Abstract
A supported gold-containing catalyst is effective for producing hydrogen peroxide from the direct liquid-phase reaction of hydrogen and oxygen.

A process for producing hydrogen peroxide comprising reacting hydrogen and oxygen in an oxygenated solvent in the presence of a supported catalyst comprising gold and a support, wherein the support is a non-zeolitic inorganic oxide containing titanium or zirconium.
