Battery powered programmable remote switch controller

A programmable control for operating at least one valve solenoid comprising:

• a. a hand held programming unit having a data input mechanism, a radio transmitter and a radio receiver,
• b. a magnet associated with said hand held unit;
• c. a battery powered controller unit electrically connected to a radio receiver for supplying input data to said controller unit;
• d. a magnetically operable switch electrically connected to said radio receiver, said switch enabling said receiver when said magnet is brought into the conductive proximity of said magnetic switch;
• e. a computing means in said controller including an internal clock for controlling an electrical circuit;
• f. a first battery power source for said computing means;
• g. a second battery power source for said circuit;
• h. at least one DC charge storage means;
• i. a first switchable connection between said second battery power source and said DC charge storage means, said connection being controlled by said computing means according to an input signal such that said first connection is closed for a pre-determined time interval and thereafter opened in order to provide a charge to said DC charge storage means;
• and
• j. a second switchable connection between said DC charge storage means and said at least one solenoid, said second connection being controlled by said computing means such that said second connection is closed immediately following the opening of said first connection in order to discharge said DC charge storage means to said solenoid.

A battery powered remote switch control system comprising:

• a. a hand held programming unit having a data input mechanism, a radio transmitter and a radio receiver;
• b. a magnet associated with said hand held unit;
• c. a controller unit including a microprocessor including an internal clock for controlling an electrical circuit;
• d. a radio receiver connected to said microprocessor for supplying an input signal thereto, said microprocessor being programmed to remain inactive until just prior to a programmed operation at which time said microprocessor reads said input signal to determine what operation to perform;
• e. a magnetically operable switch electrically connected to said radio receiver, said switch enabling said receiver when said magnet is brought into the conductive proximity of said magnetic switch;
• f. a first DC battery power source for supplying electrical energy to said microprocessor;
• g. a second DC battery power source for supplying electrical energy to said circuit;
• h. at least one DC charge storage means,
• i. a first switchable connection between said second power source and said DC charge storage means, said connection being controlled by said microprocessor according to said input signal such that said first connection is closed for a measured time interval and thereafter opened in order to provide a charge to said DC charge storage means;
• j. a relay between said DC charge storage means and a switch, said relay being controlled by said microprocessor such that said relay is closed several milliseconds following the opening of said first connection in order to discharge said DC charge storage means to said switch;
• and
• k. a second relay between said DC charge storage means and said switch controlled by said microprocessor for alternatively reversing the polarity of the discharge from said DC charge storage means to said switch.

A programmable control for operating at least one switch comprising:

• a. a hand held programming unit having a data input mechanism, and a radio transmitter;
• b. a magnet associated with said hand held unit;
• and
• c. a battery powered controller electrically connected to a radio receiver, said unit having circuitry therein for controlling the at least one remote switch, and a magnetically operable switch electrically connected to said radio receiver, said switch enabling said receiver when said magnet is brought into the conductive proximity of said switch.
