Abstract
A skin care composition comprising. (a) a silicone-containing phase comprising cross-linked polyorganosiloxane polymer and silicone oil, wherein the composition comprises from about 0.1% to about 20% by weight of the combination of cross-linked polyorganosiloxane polymer and silicone oil, (b) from about 0.1% to about 20% by weight of an organic liquid crystal-forming amphiphilic surfactant, and (c) water; wherein the composition is in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion. The compositions of the invention provide improved skin feel, reduced greasiness/stickiness and faster absorption.
Claims26
A skin care composition comprising:
- (a) a silicone-containing phase comprising crosslinked polyorganosiloxane polymer and silicone oil, wherein the composition comprises from about 0.1% to about 20% by weight of the combination of crosslinked polyorganosiloxane polymer and silicone oil;
- (b) from about 0.1% to about 20% by weight of an organic liquid crystal-forming amphiphilic surfactant;
- and
- (c) water;
- wherein the composition is in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion.
A skin care composition comprising:
- (a) a first silicone-containing phase comprising crosslinked polyorganosiloxane polymer and silicone oil, wherein the composition comprises from about 0.1% to about 20% by weight of the combination of crosslinked polyorganosiloxane polymer and silicone oil;
- (b) a second non-crosslinked silicone-containing phase and
- (c) a third oil phase comprising natural or synthetic oil selected from mineral, vegetable, and animal oils, fats and waxes, fatty acid esters, fatty alcohols, fatty acids and mixtures thereof;
- and
- (d) water;
- wherein the composition is in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion.
