User services and information management system and method

A user information system for a ski resort, comprising:

• a communications network;
• a server coupled to the communications network;
• a terminal device including a processor and a display, the terminal device in communications with the communications network and configured to access information from the server;
• and
• a user interface provided on the display of the terminal device, the user interface including user selectable options and configured to selectively provide user information to a ski resort user.

A user information system for an amusement park, comprising:

• a communications network;
• a server coupled to the communications network;
• a terminal device including a processor and a display, the terminal device in communications with the communications network and configured to access information from the server;
• and
• a user interface provided on the display of the terminal device, the user interface including visitor selectable options and configured to selectively provide visitor information to an amusement park visitor.

A user information system for a resort, comprising:

• a communications network;
• a server coupled to the communications network;
• a terminal device including a processor and a display, the terminal device in communications with the communications network and configured to access information from the server;
• and
• a user interface provided on the display of the terminal device, the user interface including user selectable options and configured to selectively provide user information to a resort user.

A method of providing site specific information to a user of a site, comprising:

• providing a site user with a portable electronic device including wireless communications electronics;
• accessing by the user a user interface with a plurality of user selectable information service options;
• selecting an information service option;
• communicating the selection from the portable electronic device to a site specific communications network;
• and
• receiving a response to the selection by the portable electronic device from the site specific communications network.
