Abstract
Process for devitalizing a tooth by transmission of a high-frequency electric pulse to the vascular and nervous tissue in the root canal by insertion in said canal of an electrode in the form of a needle (100), said pulse being generated by an electronic apparatus (10), values of power, time and frequency of said electric pulse being automatically regulated by the electronic apparatus in accordance with the control given by pressing one or another of four push buttons (30-33) one for each of the different types of teeth.
Claims16
Electronic apparatus (10) for generating high-frequency electric pulses inside the root canal (84, 85) of a diseased tooth in preparation for the necessary treatment,
- characterized in that it comprises a circuit (122) for generation of high-frequency electric pulses, connection of said circuit, by means of an electric cable (54) and supporting handle (50), to an electrode in the form of a needle (100) sufficiently long, according to the type of tooth, to reach the apical hole (90) in the root canal (84, 85) and make contact with the vascular-nervous tissue (40-42), circuits (123, 125-127, 131) that regulate the power, time of application and frequency of the high-frequency electric pulse at values sufficient for destruction of the vascular-nervous tissue (40-42), and a control device (70) by means of which, when the tip of the needle (100) has practically reached said apical hole (90), said high-frequency electric pulse is generated and passes into the vascular-nervous tissue (40-42) in contact with the needle (100) eliminating that portion in contact with the needle, the remainder that has not been eliminated becoming coagulated.
Process for devitalizing a tooth,
- characterized in that a high-frequency electric pulse, generated by an electronic apparatus (10) is transmitted to the vascular nervous tissue (40-42) of a tooth (80) by insertion of an electrode in the form of needle (100) into a root canal (84-85) of said tooth thereby eliminating the part of the vascular-nervous tissue in contact with the needle and coagulating the vascular bundle (41-42) that has not been eliminated.
