Abstract
A capacitor comprising a capacitor element, a case for housing the capacitor element, and a fixing section having projections for attaching the case to electrical equipment. In an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the case and the fixing section are unitarily molded. The fixing section and the capacitor case are formed of flame-resistant thermoplastic resins as required. This structure eliminates the need of components and tools for fixing the capacitor. Thus, the structure can improve workability, and reduce man-hours and manufacturing cost.

A capacitor comprising:
- a capacitor element;
- a case for housing said capacitor element;
- and
- a fixing section having a projection for attaching said case to an electrical equipment.
A capacitor comprising:
- a capacitor case for housing a capacitor element;
- an adapter for attaching said capacitor case to an attachment, said adapter having a bent section;
- and
- a projection provided on said bent section.
A capacitor comprising:
- a capacitor case for housing a capacitor element;
- an adapter for attaching said capacitor case to an attachment, said adapter having a resilient section;
- and
- a projection provided on said resilient section,
- wherein a restoring force is exerted to said resilient section while said adapter is attached to said attachment.
A capacitor comprising:
- a capacitor case for housing a capacitor element;
- an adapter for attaching said capacitor case to an attachment;
- and
- a plurality of projections provided on said adapter, said plurality of projections provided in a direction in which the adapter is attached to the attachment.
A capacitor comprising:
- a capacitor case for housing a capacitor element;
- and
- a fixing section provided with at least one projection for attaching said case to an attachment,
- wherein said case and said fixing section are unitarily molded and said fixing section are attached to said attachment to be one unit.
A capacitor comprising:
- a capacitor case for housing a capacitor element;
- an adapter for attaching said capacitor case to an attachment;
- and
- at least one projections provided on said adapter,
- wherein said adapter is attached to said attachment to be one unit.
