Abstract
A graphic data processing apparatus comprising a CPU coupled to an entry device, storage storing graphic data and a plurality of programs and a display, and adapted such that a command mode for drawing a desired graphic form is selected by designating the corresponding desired graphic form in the already displayed graphic forms and a program for drawing the graphic form is automatically selected.
Claims18
A graphic data processing apparatus for drawing graphic forms on a display device by using a plurality of display elements previously drawn on the display device, comprising:
- first storage means for storing display position data, the display position data identifying a display position of each display element displayed on the display device, and the first storage means further storing display element data corresponding to the display elements at the display positions, the display element data identifying a line used for drawing each corresponding display element and a form of the corresponding element;
- second storage means for storing a plurality of application programs each program having information for drawing one of the plurality of display elements, each of the plurality of application programs being identified by the corresponding display element data;
- position designating means for designating position data representing a position on the display of a selected previously drawn display element;
- means responsive to the position data for searching the stored display position data and retrieving corresponding display element data;
- program reading means for reading from the second storage means an application program identified by the retrieved display element data, for drawing the selected display elements;
- and
- means for storing the application program read, and means for drawing the same display element as the selected display element already drawn on the display device, at another location on the display device, by using the application program read.

A graphic data processing apparatus for drawing graphic forms on a display device by using a plurality of display elements previously drawn on the display device, comprising:
- first storage means for storing a plurality of data records, the respective data records corresponding to the display elements displayed on said display device and the respective data records storing identification codes for identifying the display elements;
- second storage means for storing a plurality of application programs, the respective application programs being used for drawing said display elements, and each of said application programs being identified by the corresponding identification code;
- designating means for designating a portion of a drawn display element on said display device;
- searching means for searching for a data record corresponding to the display element designated by said designating means from said storage means;
- program reading means for reading an application program for drawing a display element from said second storage means based on the identification code of the data record searched for by said searching means;
- and
- means for storing the read application program for drawing the display element on the display device by using the application program read by said program reading means.

A graphic data processing apparatus for drawing graphic forms on a display device by using a plurality of display elements previously drawn on the display device, comprising:
- first storage means for storing a plurality of data records, each of the data records corresponding to a basic display element displayed on the display device, and each of the data records storing a first code for identifying the basic display element, and a second code for identifying a composite display element including the basic display element as a constituent element;
- second storage means for storing a plurality of application programs, each of the plurality of application programs being used for drawing either said basic display element or said composite display element, and each of the plurality of application programs being identified by either said first code or said second code;
- designating means for designating a basic display element of a portion of the display element displayed on the display device;
- searching means for searching for a data record corresponding to the basic display element designated by said designating means from said first storage means;
- selecting means for selecting drawing of either the basic display element or the composite display element constituting the display element displayed on the display device;
- program reading means for reading an application program for drawing the basic display element from said second storage means based on the first code of the data record searched for by said searching means in response to selection of drawing of the basic display element by said selecting means, and reading an application program for drawing a composite display element from said second storage means based on the second code of the data record searched for by said searching means in response to selection of drawing of the composite display element by said selecting means;
- and
- means for storing the read application program for drawing on said display device either the basic display element or the composite display element using the application program read by said program reading means.

A graphic data processing apparatus for drawing graphic forms on a display device by using a plurality of display elements previously drawn on the display device, comprising:
- first storage means for storing a plurality of data records, the respective data records corresponding to the display elements displayed on the display device, and the respective data records storing identification codes for identifying the display elements;

- display means for reading the application programs corresponding to the identification code from said second storage means based on the identification code of the data record searched by said searching means and displaying said application programs on said display device in a menu form;
- selecting means for selecting any of the plurality of application programs displayed on said display device;

- means for storing said selected application program for drawing the display element on said display device using said application program selected by said selecting means.
