Abstract
This invention provides a high throughput method for identifying drug candidates which produce reactive metabolites that contribute to toxicity of the drug product.
Claims4
A method for identifying a drug candidate which produces reactive metabolites which comprises:
- a) incubating said drug candidate with a microsomal drug metabolizing enzyme system in the presence of glutathione;
- and
- b) detecting a glutathione conjugate if formed in step a).
