Abstract
A polyurethane gel filled with an expanded calcium carbonate offers an improved material for various applications, wherein the advantageous gel properties are retained, but at the same time negative properties, such as relatively high specific weight and high thermal conductivity, are avoided.

A material comprising:
- a polyurethane gel that includes elastic microspheres as filler.
A process for producing a material from a polyurethane gel comprising:
- incorporating elastic microspheres as filler into the polyurethane gel during production of the polyurethane gel;
- and
- avoiding introduction of gas into the polyurethane gel during the production of the polyurethane gel.
