There are many demands and desires on a completed vehicle and on its manufacture. It is an intention of the present invention to offer a bar that makes it possible to manufacture vehicles that are safe in traffic within the strict technical and economic tolerances that exist in the motor industry. The invention also makes it possible to increase the cost-efficiency of producing vehicles that are safe in traffic. The invention concerns a bumper bar for vehicles in which the bar is extended in one dimension, has a closed cross-section and two ends and includes at least one front flange (1), one rear flange (2), one top side (3) and one bottom side (4). The bumper bar is characterized in that at least one part of the rear flange (2), lying along the bar, is wholly or partially pressed in towards at least one part of the front flange (1), also lying along the bar. The invention also concerns a method for manufacturing the bumper bar according to claim 1.
Bumper bar for vehicles where the bar is extended in one dimension, has two ends and a closed cross-section and includes at least one front flange (1) facing forwards in the normal direction of motion of the vehicle, one rear flange (2) facing the vehicle, one top side (3) and one bottom side (4) characterised in that at least one part (2.1) of the rear flange (2), lying along the bar, is wholly or partially pressed in against at least one part (1.1) of the front flange (1), also lying along the bar.
