Abstract
Stroke information from pen-down to pen-up being one unit is grouped automatically so that editing thereafter can be performed efficiently. Grouping of stroke information is determined in accordance with a predetermined rule of grouping each time stroke information is input or with timing indicated by a user. Strokes input within a predetermined time interval and stroke information input at a position within a predetermined distance interval are assumed to be the same group, and in the editing thereafter, a collective pointing and processing on a plurality of grouped strokes becomes possible.
Claims42
An information input method, comprising the steps of:
- inputting stroke information;
- storing the input stroke information;
- determining whether or not a clustering rule is satisfied by comparing the input stroke information with said stored stroke information each time stroke information is input;
- and
- storing input stroke information which is determined to satisfy the clustering rule on the basis of said determination as new stroke information by appending the input stroke information to said stored stroke information.
An information input method, comprising the steps of:
- storing a plurality of stroke information;
- inputting a clustering execution instruction;
- determining whether or not a clustering rule is satisfied between said stored stroke information on the basis of the input of said clustering execution instruction;
- and
- generating new stroke information containing the plurality of stroke information which is determined to satisfy the clustering rule on the basis of said determination and storing it.
An information input apparatus, comprising:
- input means for inputting stroke information;
- storage means for storing stroke information input from said input means;
- determination means for determines whether or not a clustering rule is satisfied by comparing the input stroke information with said stored stroke information each time stroke information is input from said input means;
- and
- clustering means for performing control so that the input stroke information which is determined to satisfy the clustering rule by said determination means is stored in said storage means as new stroke information by appending the input stroke information to said stored stroke information.
An information input apparatus, comprising:
- storage means for storing a plurality of stroke information;
- instruction means for instructing the execution of clustering;
- determination means for determines whether or not a clustering rule is satisfied between the stroke information which is stored in said storage means in accordance with the instruction of the execution of clustering by said instruction means;
- and
- clustering means for performing control so that new stroke information containing a plurality of stroke information which is determined to satisfy the clustering rule by said determination means is generated and stored in said storage means.
A storage medium which can be read by a computer, wherein the following programs are stored:
- a program of a step for inputting stroke information;
- a program of a step for storing the input stroke information;
- a program of a step for determining whether or not a clustering rule is satisfied by comparing the input stroke information with said stored stroke information each time stroke information is input;
- and
- a program of a step for storing the input stroke information which is determined to satisfy the clustering rule on the basis of said determination as new stroke information by appending the input stroke information to said stored stroke information.
A storage medium which can be read by a computer, wherein the following programs are stored:
- a program of a step for storing a plurality of stroke information;
- a program of a step for inputting a clustering execution instruction;
- a program of a step for determining whether or not a clustering rule is satisfied between said stored stroke information in accordance with said clustering execution instruction;
- and
- a program of a step for generating and storing new stroke information containing a plurality of stroke information which is determined to satisfy the clustering rule on the basis of said determination.
