A brake drive is described which is characterized in that at least one brake drum (1) largely secured against rotation has in its interior at least one expanding ring (2) which is larger in diameter prior to installation, which after installation has a first inherent expansion friction against rotation owing to its expansion force at all points of the friction faces (5), which inherent expansion friction undergoes an additional expansion and braking intensification up to potential total blocking in the event of a reverse torque on the driven shaft (3) via the driving journal (4) thereof and the driving journal's circular thrust on one of the two end faces of the expanding ring (2) which total blocking contracts the expanding ring owing rotation of the primary hand wheel (6) or primary contracting pivoted lever (6a) at the input side with the aid of the two contracting journals (6′ and 6″) securely attached thereto, again owing to a circular tensile force on the opposing end face of the expanding ring, as a result of which the brake friction or even blocking is cancelled again and adjustment and fixing of the whole brake drive is again possible at the input and output side at any time, in both directions.
Brake drive characterised in that at least one brake drum (1) largely secured against rotation has in its interior at least one expanding ring (2) which is larger in diameter prior to installation, and which after installation has a first inherent expansion friction against rotation owing to its expansion force at all points of the friction faces (5), which inherent expansion friction undergoes an additional expansion and braking intensification up to potential total blocking in the event of a reverse torque on the driven shaft (3) via the driving journal (4) thereof and the driving journal's circular thrust on one of the two end faces of the expanding ring (2), which intensification contracts the expanding ring owing to rotation of the primary hand wheel (6) or primary contracting pivoted lever (6a) at the input side with the aid of the two contracting journals (6′ and 6″) securely attached thereto, again owing to a circular tensile force on the opposing end face of the expanding ring, as a result of which the brake friction or even blocking is cancelled again and an adjustment and fixing of the whole brake drive is again possible at the input and output side at any time, in both directions of rotation.
Brake drive according to one of the claims, characterised in that the expanding ring (2b according to FIG. 6) is produced inter alia from slightly resilient material with a high degree of frictional resistance (for example rubber, polyurethane or other brake material) and/or, for example, is additionally braked or blocked by indentations (14) and keying of the remaining segments.
Brake drive according to one of the previous claims, characterised in that one end or part of the expanding ring friction face (5) brakes earlier owing to indentations (12) or another friction material (12a) and slight projection from the rest of the friction cylinder face.
Brake drive according to one of the previous claims, characterised in that the inner or outer cylinder friction face are completely or partially coated, glued with, layered or provided in some other way with a material with a higher degree of friction resistance, so a total reverse blocking can be achieved even with a relatively small expansion force.
Brake drive according to one of the previous claims, characterised in that the two journals (6′ and 6″) securely connected, or connected so as to form one piece, to the hand wheel (6) or a pivoted lever (6a) are instead rotated or pivoted about the central point of the shaft (3) by “pivoting” the hand wheel (with an enlarged gap to the brake drum (1)) or the lever (6a) in such a way that owing to the constant spacing of the two journals, the expanding ring (2) is inevitably contracted and as a result, the expansion force and friction on the friction face (5) is reduced or even cancelled owing to a reduction in the expanding ring diameter.
Brake drive according to one of the previous claims, characterised in that owing to an additional expansion intensification lever (10 or 10′ in FIGS. 5 to 5c), the expansion force of the expanding ring (in the event of a reverse torque through the shaft 3) is further intensified and reverse braking, depending on the design and adjustment of the brake drive, can be achieved up to reverse blocking.
Brake drive according to a plurality of the preceding claims, characterised in that it can brake and/or block in both directions of rotation with or without using the expanding rings or rings and in the event of an excess load can merely slide back and start again but without breakage.
Brake drive according to previous claims, characterised in that it or merely the drive shaft can directly or indirectly lift, tension, pull, push, curve, adjust other parts and fix or block everything again by active elements.
