Abstract
The present invention relates to a radio receiver and a method of amplifying a signal in the same. The apparatus comprises a receiving system capable of receiving a radio signal according to plural types of radio communication systems while this receiving system is provided with amplifiers adapted for amplifying plural types of received signals to amplify received signals according to the plural types of radio communication systems to carry out an optimal amplifying process relative to the signal for each radio communication system. As a result, the power consumption may be reduced.
Claims35
A radio receiver comprising a receiving system capable of receiving radio signal according to plural types of radio communication systems, said receiving system comprising plural types of amplifiers each for amplifying a received signal according to said plural types of radio communication systems.
A radio receiver comprising:
- a reception system capable of receiving a radio signal according to plural types of radio communication systems, in which an amplifier shared in common between said radio communication systems is provided for amplifying the received signal;
- and
- a control portion for changing an operating condition of said amplifier into that corresponding to said radio communication system of the received signal.
A signal amplifying method in a radio receiver capable of receiving a radio signal according to plural types of radio communication systems, comprising steps of:
- selecting one of plural types of amplifiers according to the radio communication system of a received signal;
- and
- amplifying the received signal using the selected amplifier.
A signal amplifying method in a radio receiver capable of receiving a radio signal according to plural types of radio communication systems, comprising steps of:
- changing an operating condition of an amplifier for amplifying a received signal into that according to the radio communication system of the received signal;
- and
- with said operating condition changed, amplifying said received signal.
