Abstract
A flexible, open-pored cleaning body having at least one scouring surface (2) provided in at least one subregion with continuously formed, raised projecting ridges (3), wherein the ridges (3) have regions C,D of different heights in the direction of their extension.
Claims23
A flexible, open-pored cleaning body, comprising:
- at least one scouring surface;
- and
- a plurality of continuously formed, raised projecting ridges detached with the at least one scouring surface in at least in one subregion, wherein in the direction of the ridges extension, the ridges have regions of different height C,D.
A process for fabricating a cleaning body from open-pored foam comprising at least one scouring surface, which is provided at least in one subregion with continuously formed, raised projecting ridges, wherein in the direction of their extension, the ridges have regions of different height C,D, the process comprising the steps of:
- elastically deforming an essentially flat foamed mat between intermeshing projecting parts of a pair of rolls;
- separating the essentially flat foamed mat within the roll slit by a straight cut to form two mat sections;
- delimiting the two mat sections on exiting from the roll slit on the sides facing each other by a corrugated surface;
- and
- obtaining the individual cleaning bodies by being successively punched out from the mat sections.
