Abstract
The multiplexer device comprises a multiplexing means for multiplexing a plurality types of media information and outputting a multiplexed bit stream, a priority deciding means for deciding priority corresponding to each of the media information, and a multiplexing controller for controlling multiplexing of each of the media information according to the multiplexing means based on the priority decided by the priority deciding means. In addition the priority in each information is multiplexed.
Claims40
A multiplexer device comprising:
- a multiplexer for multiplexing a plurality types of media information and outputting a multiplexed bit stream;
- a priority deciding unit for deciding priority corresponding to each of said media information;
- and
- a multiplexing controller for controlling multiplexing of each of said media information according to the priority decided by the priority deciding unit.
A multiplexing method comprising the steps of:
- deciding priority corresponding to a plurality types of media information;
- a step of controlling multiplexing of each media information according to the decided priority;
- and
- outputting a multiplexed bit stream.
A multiplexing method according to claim l3, wherein said step of deciding priority decides priority in each program according to contents information corresponding to each of the program.
A multiplexer device comprising:
- a priority deciding unit assigning priority to each of a plurality of media information and assigning priority among a plurality of programs;
- a first multiplexer multiplexing the plurality of media information, wherein packets for the respective media information are multiplexed, and outputting a multiplexed media bit stream;
- a second multiplexer receiving a plurality of multiplexed media bit streams that correspond to different programs and multiplexing packets of the plurality of multiplexed media bit streams;
- and
- a multiplexing controller controlling said first and second multiplexers to perform packet-based multiplexing according to the priority assigned by said priority deciding unit.
A multiplexer device comprising:
- a multiplexer for multiplexing a plurality of media information;
- and
- a priority correlation table information generating means for generating priority correlation table information which contains information on association and/or priority among the media information;
- wherein said multiplexer multiplexes the priority correlation table information.
A multiplexing method comprising:
- receiving content information specifying contents of a plurality of corresponding media information;
- assigning priority to each of the plural media information based on media content of the media information indicated by the content information, wherein the plural media information include at least two different types of media content;
- generating a multiplexed bit stream by multiplexing the plural media information and the assigned priority;
- controlling said multiplexing of the plural media information according to the assigned priority;
- and
- outputting the multiplexed bit stream.
A multiplexing apparatus, comprising:
- a priority decider operatively connected to a first input port receiving content information specifying contents of a plurality of corresponding media information, said priority decider deciding a level of priority for each of the media information based on a media content of the corresponding media information indicated by the content information;
- a multiplexer operatively connected to a second input port receiving the plurality of media information;
- and
- a controller operatively connected to said priority decider and to said multiplexer, said controller controlling said multiplexer to give priority to media information based on media content of the corresponding media information as decided by said priority decider, wherein
- said multiplexer organizes the media information into programs and organizes the programs into groups;
- said priority decider decides priority of media information within a program, priority of programs within a group, priority among programs or priority among groups;
- and
- said controller controls said multiplexer according to the priority decision made by said priority decider.
A multiplexing method comprising:
- multiplexing a plurality of media information;
- and
- multiplexing priority correlation table information which contains information on association and priority among the media information.
A multiplexer device comprising:
- a multiplexer for multiplexing packets of a plurality of media information;
- and
- a priority information correspondence table creating unit for creating a priority information correspondence table that contains information about a correspondence among the media information;
- wherein
- said multiplexer multiplexes said packets of the media information and the information in said priority information correspondence table.
