An apparatus for shaping thermoplastic materials or for laminating backing parts has a turntable (3) which can be rotated by means of a rotary drive (2) and comprises rests (26, 27) for receiving supporting devices (28) for molds and or backing parts (15). The turntable has a plurality of receiving places which are able to enter alternately into a preliminary blowing box (9), where the shaping of the moulded part to be produced takes place in conjunction with a mold arranged on an upper table (6). For sealing the opening (11) in the front wall (10), facing the rotary drive (2), of the preliminary blowing box (9), the turntable has a separating wall (12) which grips with flanges (21, 22) on both sides over a wall indentation (20), which surrounds the rotary drive and consequently bounds the preliminary blowing box. Located in the wall of the preliminary blowing box at the rim of the opening (11) is a seal (19) which is able to be shaped by means of a pressure medium and is able to be pressed against the separating wall (12). As a result, the preliminary blowing box (9) can be sealed off with respect to the atmosphere, so that the molding operation can be carried out in a known way by means of positive pressure and/or negative pressure.
Apparatus for shaping thermoplastic materials or for laminating backing parts, comprising at least one locationally movable supporting device for a lower mould or a moulding receptacle and at least one locationally movable supporting device for an upper mould and also a preliminary blowing box which can be sealed off with respect to the atmosphere for receiving a supporting device with a lower mould or moulding receptacle during an operating procedure, characterized in that a turntable (3) is provided for transporting the at least one supporting device (28), which turntable has for each supporting device (28) a receiving place which is separated from the respectively neighbouring receiving place by a separating wall (12) which closes an opening (11) in the preliminary blowing box (9), apart from a small gap, when a supporting device is located underneath an upper mould in the working station provided in the preliminary blowing box, and in that the small gap between the separating wall (12) and the wall (10) of the preliminary blowing box is able to be sealed off by a seal (19).
